This is a practice in mindfulness of others (being mindful "externally") as well as oneself (being mindful "internally"), as applied to mindfulness of walking. The aim is to encourage mindfulness of mental states in others as well as oneself.

In that video, (following anapana sati or the Satipatthana suttas) we divided mindfulness into four "quartets" or objects of awareness (considered in four steps each, hence "quartet"): body, feelings, mind and insight.
For the past month we have been practicing the first and fourth quartets internally and externally: Mindfulness of body and mindfulness for insight, as we show here.
